Miss Charlotte is the great-granddaughter of the well-known Alice Delorme Lockwood, who established a foundation that provides educational and business opportunities for the benefit of orphaned children and those who adopt them. When aspiring author Jaden Browning comes to Savannah in hopes of writing a book about the Lockwood Foundation and Alice’s life as a survivor of Savannah’s 1876 yellow fever epidemic, Miss Charlotte is eager to shed light on her great-grandmother’s story.

In 1918, James Brandon was sentenced to twenty years in prison for stealing valuable jewels from his employer, the wealthy industrialist Thomas Van Orden. Over a century later, James’s great-granddaughter, Lydia Cooper, comes to Magnolia Investigations to see if Meredith and Julia can help clear James’s name and give her mother some closure before Alzheimer’s takes what is left of her memories. As Meredith and Julia investigate the theft, they realize that certain things don’t add up—like the fact that the jewels vanished without a trace and the Brandon family never seemed to benefit from the supposed theft. So, did James actually take them? Could he have been framed?
And when their investigation leads them to the history of Van Orden Industries, it soon becomes clear that someone else besides them is digging through the history of the company and the Van Orden family. But is this mystery person a whistleblower or a blackmailer?

Resurrecting Trouble
When Julia Foley attends the Boys & Girls Club Easter Egg Hunt with her nieces, she is met with an amazing discovery. Hidden inside one of the Easter eggs is the highly valuable Fabergé Resurrection Egg! As soon as Rayna Clarke and her grandmother, Jean, come forward to claim the egg, Christian Kirkland-Wright, the son of a duke, comes forward with a counterclaim. Julia and Meredith launch their own hunt to dig into the history of the egg and discover how the heirloom, which was once owned by Russian nobles, came into the possession of the Clarke family.
Meanwhile, Julia has her own mystery to solve, one that brings her immense guilt. Bunny, the beloved cat she and Beau took in, has somehow gotten out of the house and is nowhere to be found. Can Julia and her husband work together to bring Bunny home in time for Easter?
